Rob Ortiz has had a very long and prestigious career in brand building as the current Vice President of Sales (Atlantic Division) for St. George Spirits. With over 20 years of sales experience in Wine and Spirits alone, Rob is a master of the craft of brand building, route to market strategy, and generally speaking getting the job done for brands.
Rob has worked on some brands that are now household names including Ketel One Vodka, DonQ Rum, Barrows Intense Ginger Liqueur, Woodford Rye and Old Forester Extensions., and now the famous St. George Spirits Brands.
Rob is a Road Warrior often traveling to multiple states every week. Based in New Jersey, his territory includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC making deals with buyers and distributors for St. George Spirits.
The focus of our talk today is how to generate excitement, and find a home for niche spirits, and St. George is the perfect case study with it's hyper niche, almost hobby-like obsession with micro distillates and small run production.
